**The Role**
The City of Whittlesea is trialling an innovative structure in the Maternal and Child Health team and now is your chance to be part of testing a new approach to leading the large MCH unit.
This 6-month trial will see the leadership of the unit split between two positions, with this role overseeing the clinical operations, working alongside the Unit Manager Administration and Development to collaboratively lead the unit.
The Unit Manager MCH Clinical Operations oversees the clinical operations of the MCH team (direct reports are 3 x Universal Coordinators, 1 x Enhanced Coordinator) and will focus on the delivery of the service, enhancing practice, succession planning to grow our future leaders and continuous quality improvement of the service operations.
This role will work collaboratively and be supported by the Unit Manager Administration and Development who will oversee the administration team, the MCH planning and projects officer and nurse educator. The two Unit Managers will work collaboratively to ensure an innovative and responsive service.

Our structure includes a Planning and Projects Officer who leads significant change and innovation projects, a Nurse Educator to build the workforce capacity, and a dedicated Administration team overseen by its own coordinator.
**About you**
We are looking for a leader with a curious, inquisitive mind-set who can help us trial this new leadership structure.
You will have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Maternal and Child Health or related service area
- A qualified Maternal and Child Health Nurse (mandatory)
- A strong commitment to working collaboratively
- A passion for leading people and building the capability of others
- A keen interest in leading innovative change and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with many stakeholders.
