**Role**

Our client, a Government Branch is seeking an experienced Principal Policy Officer (A07) to join their team to provide policy advice. In this role you will be a part of a fast-paced team responsible for reviewing and analysing policy to provide strategic advice to senior management.

Your role will involve:

- Providing strategic policy advice to senior management on policy matters to support decision making
- Researching and preparing departmental and whole-of government policy papers, submissions, reports, and briefings
- Reviewing and analysing policy options with a view to determining their potential impacts on industry
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including government and non-government, and developing and sustaining collaborative and productive working relationships.

**About you**
- Have experience in strategic policy relating to the management of natural resources
- Have a tertiary qualification in policy or natural resource management (highly regarded)
- Have the ability and/or be willing to travel or work away from headquarters when required
- Possession of a current QLD C Class Driver’s License or equivalent (desirable)
