**Public Sector People** are working with a government organisation the Brisbane CBD who are seeking an AO7 Principal Investigations Officer on a 3-month Temp contract + possible extension with the opportunity to go directly with the client afterwards.
This role will be to coordinate and lead complex investigations within large corporations relating to health and safety including monitoring the implementation of your recommendations. Writing of reports and documenting findings to be published.

**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery/coordination of high-quality investigations to achieve strict deadlines in a complex and sensitive environment and provide technical supervision and guidance to the team.
- Lead the systemic investigations team in driving systemic improvements in the industry through investigation, assurance and monitoring activities.
- identifying and leading systemic investigations into the quality of health-related services, including high-profile, state-wide and highly complex systemic investigations into the quality of health services
- leading the monitoring and evaluation of recommendation implementation by health service providers
- preparing correspondence and high-quality reports for the department and ministers, including targeted briefings/responses to ministerial enquiries relating to systemic issues impacting on the quality of service.
- coordinating the systemic investigations team to meet performance indicators in line with divisional targets and benchmarks, including accurate data collection for reporting.
- Lead the gathering of strategic intelligence using a variety of internal and external intelligence data sources to identify potential systemic issues for investigation.
- Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders and develop high-level and effective relationships to support systemic investigations processes, enhance service delivery and the office’s relationship within the wider healthcare setting.
- Oversee and actively engage in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of systems to support the strategic direction of the systemic team and the investigations division including developing team members’ systemic investigation expertise.
**About you**:
- You are currently working in or have previously worked in a clinical health background.
- You have coordinated and lead serious investigations within previous roles
- You have demonstrated sound judgement
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain appropriate relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A detailed understanding of the health system environment is desirable but not essential.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in law or health and/or Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) and/or Diploma in Government Investigations is considered desirable but not a requirement.
