A leading government agency is seeking a **Procurement & Contract Officer** based in **Canberra** for a **6 month contract**.

As a member of the **Procurement** and **Contracts** team, the Officer will work specifically with the Library and Learning Services (LLS) business unit of the agency to develop procurement documentation and manage procurement activities.

**Key responsibilities for this include**:

- Manage **procurement** process including development of documentation in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Provide advice and support to all staff for **procurement** and contract management activities.
- Participate in strategic planning and coordination for **procurement** and contract management activities.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including **Procurement** **ACT**, and contract managers.

**Key requirements for this include**:

- _Tertiary qualifications_, or progress towards qualifications in **Procurement** and **Contract** Management disciplines highly desirable.
- Previous Experience working within the **ACTGOV** **procurement** guidelines.
- Knowledge of **procurement** and **contract** **management** guidelines, procedures, and frameworks in a government context.
- Demonstrated experience in **procurement** and **contract** **management** activities
- Strong judgement, negotiation, written and oral communication skills and experience with internal and external stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work under limited direction, including experience in planning, prioritising and organising work for self and others to achieve goals and deadlines
