Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Procurement and Contracts on a contract for 12 months with potential extension.

About the Role

The APS4 Procurement is responsible for providing advice, support and research services to the Procurement and Corporate Services Branch. The position will support the Procurement team to deliver quality procurement outcomes, which are compliant with legislation and ensure value for money.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Undertaking research and analysis activities and drafting initial documentation to support simple to complex procurements.
- Providing administrative support to the Procurement team.
- Initiating drafting of procurement related documentation.
- Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate Agency reporting.
- Contributing to team planning activities and identifying opportunities for improvements.
Key skills required for role:

- Competency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (Access is also desirable)
- Knowledge of SAP or other related Procurement based systems
Desirable skills to haves for the role/s:

- Procurement experience spanning either government or non-government sectors and/or is a recent graduate with a focus on developing a career in Procurement
- Knowledge of end-to-end procurement activities, including familiarity with purchasing systems and processes
- Certificate IV in Government Procurement and Contracts (or equivalent)
