**About the role**:
I have been engaged to recruit an exciting role based in the Northern suburbs of Sydney. This role is an opportunity for someone who is driven and open to a role that offers a dynamic environment with strong opportunity for team management and engagement as well as driving strategic process improvement.

**Some responsibilities of the role will include**:

- Day to day operational management of the accounts payable and receivable function
- Drive and own the timely preparation of trade supplier reconciliations and the active resolution of variances by engaging with category and site teams.
- Managing accounts payable/accounts receivable aging and the timely resolution of aged items
- Seek opportunities to drive automation and simplification of payable and receivables processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
- Thinking strategically about implementing system improvements
- Lead, drive and mentor the team to promote a healthy working environment for
- Key escalation point for any business issues relating to the function - both for internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Provide information for payment forecasts to Treasury
- Planning and execution of weekly payment runs
- Strong team management skills, around 5-7 years’ work experience in a similar role
- Previous experience within complex multi-site / multi-channel retail or FMCG environment
- Experience with an Accounts payable automation tool
- Experience working with a large ERP, Microsoft Business Central (advantageous)
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
