What’s the job?
Reporting to the Head of Strategic and Operational Initiatives, the Academic Planning Manager is a senior-level position that will be responsible for driving fresh initiatives for business planning and intelligence systems, that support quality practices, evaluation and business enhancements throughout the student lifecycle of Higher Educational and Vocational programs across Academic Administration functions within Torrents Global Education (TGE).
- This role involves collaborating with academic leaders, faculty members and other stakeholders to ensure academic quality best practices are implemented and monitored that promote student success and academic achievement.
- Day-to-day accountabilities:
- Drive and plan initiatives for business planning and intelligence systems that will provide insights that help the decision-making process to develop and monitor quality metrics to ensure business data and reporting needs are met across faculty wide academic administration operations, programs, and services.-
- Develop and share best practice approaches to quality within and across faculties, including participating in risk management and internal audits, and coordinating subsequent improvement activities-
- Directly troubleshoot to satisfactorily resolve all potential service issues as they arise, implementing service enhancements and communicating in advance accordingly.-
- Measure effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes and initiatives, both internally and externally, and seek ways to streamline and improve reporting channels.-
- Develop a deep understanding of faculty course architectures and delivery options to ensure quality administrative support to maximise student success, engagement, and to optimize retention.-
- Produce detailed performance and trend analyses to provide vital information to support the attainment of faculty KPOs.-
- Define business requirements to develop new models that underpin sound business decisions and report back to stakeholders.-
- Provide leadership and supervision to staff, including hiring, training, and performance management that ensures a culture of high performance, customer service, teamwork, innovation and workforce capability and development.- To read more about the role please click here to

This is a permanent position and can be located in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane with hybrid working arrangements at the nearest campus 2 days per week.
- Who you are?- Minimum 5 years' managing academic administration functions, B2B/Third Party area in a senior role within the HE or VET sector-
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Analytics or similar OR
- Demonstrated significant successful and strong people analytics experience-
- Successful track record developing insights into data through reporting and visualisations that can ‘tell a story’, and an impeccable attention to detail-
- Knowledge of VET and HE regulatory requirements.-
- Quality & Compliance: An understanding of TEQSA regulatory compliance, interpretating legislation and policy and procedures-
- Highly developed project management skills that support the effective implementation of concurrent projects within an agile environment.-
- Ability to manage teams & and self through “self awareness” that ensures a culture of high performance, customer service, teamwork, innovation and workforce capability and development.-
- Foresight academic planning and forecasting.-
- Highly developed attention to detail to undertake high volumes of administrative processing efficiently and with a high level of accuracy-
- Stakeholder relationship building - Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.-
