Position Summary

As Academic Coordinator within Scentia Higher Education, you'll be a key member of the academic team working closely with the Chief Education Officer – Higher Education to maintain and enhance academic standards across both ABS and ACHW. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment and is passionate about academic quality, professional development, and student engagement.

You'll lead the coordination and implementation of higher education standards in teaching, assessment, and curriculum design. From managing scholarly activities and benchmarking to supporting academic misconduct cases and student support initiatives, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence in learning and teaching across both institutions.

Key Tasks

  • Coordinate academic functions across ABS and ACHW in line with policy and standards
  • Support curriculum development, teaching and learning plans, and workforce planning
  • Lead scholarly activities and professional development for academic staff
  • Manage benchmarking and assessment moderation processes
  • Monitor unit performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with academic misconduct cases and student support processes
  • Maintain high-quality academic documentation including unit outlines and assessment briefs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external facilitators to ensure smooth academic operations

About You

  • Tertiary qualification at Master's level or higher (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in academic coordination within higher education
  • Strong knowledge of governance, curriculum development, and evaluation processes
  • Proven ability to manage scholarly and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and academic systems
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across diverse stakeholders
