**Job Overview**
CAPA has an exciting opportunity for an education professional interested in international education to join our high performing Sydney Study Centre Team as an Academic Coordinator. An essential role within the Academic Management Team (AMT), the primary responsibility of the Academic Coordinator is to support the operations of the AMT and American university students studying in our Sydney centre. As well you will be the primary contact for inquiries about direct enrolment programs and liaise with the study abroad teams at our Sydney partner institutions. This role has opportunities for liaising with faculty, the Program and Student Services team, and the Global Internship team.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide academic advising for all students, working closely with students needing additional support or learning accommodations
- As part of the Academic Affairs team, manage course schedules, associated field trips, and the faculty database
- Serve as primary administrator of local registrar functions.
- Maintain learning management systems including CANVAS and provide support to students and faculty
- Collaborate with the Academic Affairs team on faculty communications plan
- Conduct regular reviews of syllabi, ensuring copywrite compliance, and prepare annual report for the Copywrite Licensing Agency
- Provide orientation for new faculty members and visiting faculty
- Maintain class attendance records and liaise with the Program & Student Services team regarding student absences
- Facilitate student focus groups and other feedback forums, promote and administer student awards
- Contribute to preparations for, and participate in, CAPA faculty meetings and roundtables
- Co-ordinate and assist with the planning of custom programs
- Organise hospitality for academic site visits, including visits with CAPA’s Academic Advisory Board
- Maintain financial records and reporting pertaining to Academics
- Undertake other tasks to support the AMT as required
- On a rotating schedule, carry an emergency phone for student-related emergencies after hours

**Qualifications**
- Documented legal authorization to work in Australia
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to connect with students
- A high level of proficiency in computer software particularly Microsoft Office; knowledge of Salesforce and CANVAS is helpful
- Ability to work independently, whilst simultaneously working as a part of a team
- A Bachelor’s degree or working towards.

**Hours of Work**
Full time. Due to the nature of the study abroad field, additional time beyond regular office hours is to be expected in this role.
