**The Role**
The Administration Support Officer works as part of a small Support & Coordination Team in Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) Headquarters. Support and Coordination provide support to DFR Executive and the wider workforce within DFR to deliver Defence capability.

The Administration Support Officer provides administration and business support to the wider workforce within DFR. This includes managing file structures and records systems, developing and maintaining a variety of databases, consolidating and analysing data and information, coordinating and assisting in the preparation of written submissions, briefs, corporate reports, minutes and other correspondence for Branch and external stakeholders and mangaging finance.

The incumbent will require, or be prepared to complete, the training for Objective ECM workgroup coordinator, MS Office Suite - including Visio, Defence One reporting and other programs as required.

**About our Team**
Defence Force Recruiting (DFR) is a public-private collaboration between Defence and a recruiting company and provides recruiting services to the Australian Defence Force in accordance with standards and policies set by the Navy, Army and Air Force.

Recruiting services are delivered using a mix of military, APS and contractor staff operating in a high energy, multi-vendor environment which is responsible for directly delivering capability to the Australian Defence Force.

The Support & Coordination Team are responsible for providing administrative support to the Military Coordination cells in the DFR Recruiting Centres around Australia and the Headquarters in Canberra.

The HQ Team, based at Fairbairn, consists of ADF and APS staff and reports to the Chief of Staff.

They will be knowledgeable in their own area of expertise, accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their own area of responsibility. They will be willing to share and educate others when required.

- Experience in managing finances
- Excellent communication and writing skills with a focus on attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable supporting colleagues at short notice
- Demonstrated high-level customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
