THE ROLE

Disability Homes Victoria is the branch of Homes Victoria that manages the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH)'s Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes and other assets, including over 900 properties valued at around $1B. The SDA portfolio provides valued, stable, and secure homes to around 3000 residents with significant disabilities, and workplaces for Supported Independent Living providers.Working with the unit's Principal Finance and Reporting Analyst and as part of a small team, you will use your initiative to support the finance functions relating to our SDA properties and to improve related processes. A key focus of your role will be identification, oversight and resolution of issues that affect NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) revenue.You will work with internal stakeholders to clarify funding arrangements and improve internal tracking and reporting of revenues. Equally this role will liaise with NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) to proactively raise and resolve funding and processing issues. This role will also assist as required with broader Finance team functions including payments, budgeting, reporting and compliance.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
1. Oversee the timely and accurate completion of complex account reconciliations, annual account working papers, financial reports, briefings and other ad hoc reports and correspondence.2. Manage transactions using departmental corporate systems and whole of government online banking and financial systems, maintain financial systems that support delivery of best-practice, contemporary financial management and services and identify issues and opportunities for improvement.3. Liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and ensure a high level of client service delivery.
