Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance operations and support strategic decision-making across construction business.

Role Overview

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial health of Tick Homes, managing a team of 5-6 finance professionals. You will provide timely and accurate financial insights to key stakeholders, ensure effective cash flow management, and lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop a finance team of six, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, and reporting.
• Stakeholder Communication
• Serve as the key liaison between finance and operational stakeholders, including project managers, procurement, and senior leadership.
• Translate financial results and trends into meaningful insights for non-financial teams.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Conduct variance analysis and support the Group Financial controller in executive reporting.
• Cash Flow Monitoring
• Maintain oversight of working capital and cash flow, highlighting risk areas and opportunities.
• Ensure funds are effectively allocated to meet operational needs and strategic objectives.
• Budgeting & Forecasting
• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
• Monitor performance against budget and drive corrective action plans where needed.
• Controls & Compliance
• Maintain robust internal controls, compliance with statutory obligations, and audit readiness.
• Ensure accounting practices are aligned with regulatory and industry standards.

Key Skills and Experience

• CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in a Finance Manager or equivalent role.
• Experience in the construction, property development, or building industry is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to manage and inspire a mid-sized finance team.
• Strong financial acumen with attention to detail and analytical problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamic Business Central systems are advantageous.
