About us
Funds in Court (FIC) is a self-funded division of the Supreme Court of Victoria, managing funds paid into Court, primarily for people under a legal disability (beneficiaries). All funds are held, invested and administered by the Associate Judge of the Court who is the Senior Master. FIC provides support and services for over 6500 beneficiaries.
The Beneficiary Services Section of FIC provides advice and support services to the Senior Master, the Judicial Registrar and Office staff concerning the administration of funds for beneficiaries.
The Trust Officer is primarily responsible for providing quality customer service, information and operational support for the effective dispatch and administration of court ordered funds for beneficiaries. Trust Officers assist beneficiaries to access their funds, either to purchase an item, for daily expenses or for larger transactions such as house and vehicle purchases.

- Manage a portfolio of clients under legal disability with a professional and client centric approach, and an ability to empathise with their social and financial needs and circumstances.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to enquiries and concerns.
- Be accessible and responsive to the beneficiaries and their ever-changing needs.

This is a full-time, fixed term position for 12 months.
About you
- Possess a positive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of disability services, including DHHS, NDIS, Centrelink, OPA, VCAT.
- Experience working in the disability sector and/or trustee industry.
- Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with beneficiaries.
- Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work requirements.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards people with a disability, including with a mental illness, and the families, friends and carers that support them.
