**The Role**
The IT Service Manager - Change and Configuration is responsible for efficient and effective coordination of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) - Change and/or Configuration Management activities in support of Business as Usual (BAU) change activity, in addition to supporting project and service improvement outcomes targeted towards Defence Strategic Communication delivery and uplift.

The position capitalises on specialist knowledge and experience to support stakeholder engagement (ADF users, internal technical teams and other nations), and is a key supporting function in the execution of Change and/or Configuration Management activities in support of capability delivery

**About our Team**
Within the Joint Capabilities Group (JCG), the Defence Strategic Communication Branch (DSCB) - Strategic Communication Sustainment & Interoperability (SCSI) is a large and complex team of people tasked with providing efficient oversight and uplift of critical services serving the wider Australian Defence Force and our Coalition partners.

This role will form an important part of the wider capability sustainment and uplift outcomes delivered by the Directorate and the Branch. The position capitalises on specialist knowledge and experience to support extensive stakeholder engagement, and facilitation of priority information sharing initiatives towards allied and coalition interoperability objectives.

While this is primarily an ITSM-focused facilitation role, some Technical understanding of security, networking, gateway and server environments, plus demonstrated ability to successfully engage with widespread technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential to success in this role. Regular responsibilities of this role will include:

- Lead and coordinate approval activities towards technical delivery and uplift outcomes through efficient and effective Change and/or Configuration Management oversight.
- Engage with Defence stakeholders and technical staff to gain approval, delivery and reporting of technical change outcomes.
- Engage with other Change and/or Configuration Management staff, both nationally and across our coalition partners to effect coordinated change outcomes on behalf of the Department.
