**The Role**
The Defence Network Operations Centre (DNOC) ICT Infrastructure and Facilities Manager (I&F MGR) provides a broad range of ICT facilities and infrastructure services to the DNOC Resident Units and its customers across Defence. The core functions & duties include:
- Facilitate DNOC maintenance, support, control and testing of the technical aspects of building systems including but not limited to, power, UPS, Air Conditioning, Access Control Systems, fire detection and control, PABX, security, Audio/Video, lighting, communications cabling and workshop systems.
- Manage the documentation of, and changes to, technical artefacts detailing infrastructure configuration items.
- Perform minor approved changes to the DNOC infrastructure ensuring updates to the documentation and compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Develop and maintain schedules and contribute to project planning for facilities and ICT infrastructure related support services, as required. This consists of, and is not limited to, ICT equipment, security camera systems, Keysafe’s, A/C units, door actuators, GFE and Audio/Visual systems.
- Develop continual service improvement plans that ensure ICT infrastructure and systems supports business needs in the context of Defence objectives and ICT strategy.
- Provide facilities support, including server rooms, for the CIOG precinct at HMAS Harman through effective collaboration with key stakeholders including Security and Estate Group, contracted service providers and other CIOG teams.
- Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the fleet vehicles based at the DNOC precinct.
- As the lead of a small team, manage work flows, resources, prepare work area and team plans detailing measurable milestones and expected outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to assure prescribed product and services standards are met within agreed time frames for DSCB customers.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team and group activities.
- Motivate and mentor teams; aligning complementary skills and allocate resources in a manner that delivers results. Share own expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced employees.
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action and develop strategic initiatives.
- Accountable for timely completion of work within timeframes, accuracy and quality requirements and provision of status reports to the chain of command on regular and ad hoc basis.
**About our Team**
Defence Strategic Communications Sustainment is responsible for the service life-cycle management of Defence Strategic Communications Branch systems and provides essential functions to enable over 70 Defence strategic & deployed communications products and services, including terrestrial & satellite communications, coalition & deployed networks, tactical interfaces and military messaging, to ensure they remain reliable, operational and sustainable through their life of type.
Located within the DNOC precinct at HMAS Harman, the Building Management team are responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the DNOC maintenance and management of physical and intangible facilities particularly:
- Conference room and office audio visual, voice, data and associated peripherals integration.
- Building security and access management.
- Fleet vehicles.
- Procurement, installation and service repair.
