**Primary Purpose of the Role**

The Change and Adoption Manager is responsible for establishing a change management strategy via planning, developing, implementing, and leading change, including adoption and communication plans at a strategic level and works with senior stakeholders to formulate specific change and adoption activities to achieve program/project outcomes.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Develop, manage, and drive a structured change and adoption strategy based on a proven change methodology for multi-stream complex programs.
- Lead change management and adoption activities, including project and customer team support in integrating change management activities into project and implementation plans.
- Plan large scale training programs, understand change and training needs by audience, and ensure the development and delivery of targeted training materials and policies to all relevant levels of the implementing organisation.
- Deliver presentations and training if required to groups of stakeholders, clearly articulating and delivering complex messages.
- Provide strategic advice about the feasibility and suitability of proposed strategy, solutions and change success metrics, and perform change impact analyses where required.
- Manage and develop relationships to influence internal and external stakeholder groups, including collaborating with change, communication, and training teams at internal, external, State and Commonwealth Government levels.
- Manage program/project incident, response, and resolution of changes to ensure deficiencies are identified, learnings are documented, and changes implemented to limit risk of future recurrence.
- Lead the lessons learned relating to best practice change practices and processes with internal and relevant external agencies.

**Key challenges**:

- Lead the Change and Adoption engagement across the NSW health system, balance competing demands to achieve business objectives, establish effective stakeholder relationships and arrangements that ensure customer input to all decisions, and balance state-wide needs with local innovation and national directions.
- Maintain a view of the bigger business picture in a complex environment; evaluating interim results of change management activities and their effect on achieving overall program goals, while recognising potential areas of conflict across a complex stakeholder environment and leading the appropriate resolution of various Change Management issues and matters of concern.**Must-Have Requirements**
- Extensive experience managing and overseeing complex aspects of program and/or project management and implementation, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, reporting, and issue and risk management.
