**About the Company**

This NSW Government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and efficient experience within government. This government agency uses data and behavioural insights to drive improvements with government and providing services to NSW. We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6 month contract paying up to $1105 p/day incl. Super. This role is located in Chatswood (hybrid).

**About the Role**

The Scrum Master guides and coaches Scrum teams on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.

Key accountabilities include:

- Ensure Scrum is understood and the product/project team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, guidelines and increasing the scrum maturity in teams.
- Facilitate all scrum events within the team, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Recommend and implement changes and adaptations during the sprint retrospectives, which improve the efficiency or effectiveness of processes and/or enhance quality of outcomes.
- Build and maintain relationships with Scrum teams, Agile Coaches and other internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support organisational project or product teams.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to engage, inform, influence and negotiate with stakeholders about priorities of the team/project using product backlogs as the basis for discussions.
- Work collaboratively and participate in the appropriate communities of practices with Product Owners, other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches within the stakeholder community to promote and understand this departments Agile practices, rules and values.

**About You**
- 4+ years of previous experience; government experience is beneficial.
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in an Agile framework or method, such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Project and Visio or equivalent.
- Understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
- Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
- Proven capacities to develop and implement initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, improve performance and project manage.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, multi-task, achieve business goals, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
- Well-developed communication, facilitation, negotiation, coaching skills, interpersonal and influencing skills with previous experience engaging, collaborating and influencing key stakeholders and customers to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes.
