**Public Sector People** are working with a local council in the south suburbs of Brisbane to recruit multiple
**RTI Officers** to join our team on a
**12-month temporary contract, with potential for permanent placement**.

Pay rates up to
**$48.05 per hour + super.** This role will be Reporting to the Integrity and Information Coordinator.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Processing RTI requests in accordance with legislation and department policy
- Providing advice and support to council staff and members of the public on RTI and information access
- Conducting internal reviews of RTI decisions
- Maintaining accurate records and data in the RTI system
- Collaborating with council staff to resolve any RTI-related issues
- Participating in RTI training and professional development activities
- Any other duties as directed by the Integrity and Information Coordinator.

**Requirements**:

- Territory education with the legal sector an advantage
- Previous government background is highly recommended.
- Demonstrated experience in RTI and information access
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
