About Role
The Project Officer will report to the Project Manager of The Rights Path: improving quality in NDIS services and supports Project (TRPP) to deliver the project and provide administrative support. The role will provide support in developing tools and resources to assist people with disability from CALD communities to understand their rights and raise concerns. The role will support planning, implementing, and reporting on key program deliverables that enhance capacity of people with disabilities to communicate effectively to protect their rights. The Project Officer will also support the Coordinator and Head of Community Engagement in collating, editing and proofing resources and reports, maintaining critical program information and contribute to maintenance of program policies and procedures. The role will foster strong relationships with stakeholders, people with lived experience and providers to co-design projects and initiatives aligning to the TRPP project plan.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities Include**:

- Support the development and Implementation of innovative approaches to support people with disability from CALD communities to communicate effectively to protect their rights and raise concerns, including exploring different formats and approaches that support specific cohorts of participants in, such as the use of digital solutions or other flexible solutions.
- Support the Manager to develop and deliver culturally responsive workshops for project participants
- Support the engagment of Lived Experience Consultants from CALD communities and Provider Consultants
- Coordination of the broader administrative functions of the TRPP Project and provide administrative support to the Manager and Head of CE as required.
- Support and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and providers in the disability sector and partner with community leaders and people with disability, their families and carers from CALD communities
- Provide support to manage internal and external Project reference groups, book virtual and face to face meetings, venue booking, organising catering, preparing agendas, taking minutes and action logs in a timely manner.
- Act with discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling and storing confidential information.
- Support financial management of the project including invoicing.
- Support data collection, monitoring and evaluation activities as required
- Support marketing and communication activities for marketing and communications purposes.
- Travel as required to deliver project
- Other duties as directed from time to time within your skills range and capacity.

Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Services, community development, disability, allied health, social work, or community services
- Experience in the social and community services sector or related field.
- Understanding of the NDIS.
- Demonstrated success in community networking and building stakeholder relationships.
- Understanding of a person-centred approach to service provision, social inclusion, and community development principles.
- Lived experience or awareness of the impact of disability upon individuals, families, carers, and the community.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in successful project management and event management.
- Willingness and ability to facilitate projects and events is DESIRABLE
