**Description**:
To perform this role, it is essential that the person is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
About The Role
As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Community Liaison Officer is expected to personally contribute to the shaping and achievement of ATSICHS vision and goals within their own scope. Liaise with the community and clinic team as per the IUIH Model of Care. It is the role of the Community Liaison Officer to contribute, where possible, to ATSICHS comprehensive health support services to clients with the aim to achieve improved health outcomes for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This includes effective: triage, prevention, education, support and recalls. The Community Liaison Officer will provide information to ATSICHS clients with regards to their clinics and promote opportunities for improved health outcomes.
Duties
Conduct planning and marketing.
Implement Community Engagement Strategies.
Encourage and support integration across departments by assisting with and promoting referrals between programs within the ATSICHS Network.
Provide engagement and Feedback.
Commit to ongoing CQI & Clinical Governance with annual reviews into the efficiency of the service provision.
Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

**Benefits**:
Base salary of $62,297 per annum + additional 11.5% Superannuation.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**Required**:
Previous demonstrable experience in relevant field.
Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
National Police Check Clearance.

**Preferred**:
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a health or dental environment.
Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Previous experience in a multidisciplinary health team.
Understanding of Child Dental Benefit Schedule under Medicare for children.
