As an established not-for-profit human services organisation, Mercy Community provides quality placement opportunities towards developing the high-quality human services workforce upon which vulnerable communities can rely. This placement experience enhances contextual learning and enables placements to be better tailored to students interests and learning needs. Whilst with Mercy Community students will receive supervision from qualified, experienced staff and can attend all the professional development opportunities Mercy Community has to offer, such as Therapeutic Crisis intervention, and training in our contemporary models of practice, and learning modules.

Implementing a trauma recovery model of practice and working to structured plans, you will build long-term relationships with children and young people who often have complex behaviours, providing security, stability and consistency while building their capacity to form positive relationships with others.
**About You**
- You are resilient, mature, patient and confident working with challenging behaviours such as verbal and physical aggression.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate and concise written case notes and reports, meeting pre-set timeframes and intermediate level computer skills.
- You must be prepared to obtain a First Aid and CPR Certificate
- The ability to maintain extreme confidentiality is essential when providing service to clients and external stakeholders from culturally diverse backgrounds.
- You will hold a current Queensland Provisional Green (P2 Licence) or Open Driver’s License
- You must hold a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card), a NDIS Workers Screening Card and be able to obtain a positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required. Mercy will process and pay for checks required.
