The Opportunity

The Islamic College of Brisbane is seeking a dynamic and experienced Dean of Students in our Secondary School. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated educator to play a key role in shaping student behaviour, wellbeing, and success across the Secondary School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and supporting the implementation of the College's behaviour management and wellbeing frameworks across Secondary
  • Analysing student behaviour trends and developing targeted strategies and interventions.
  • Mentoring and counselling at-risk students to remove barriers to learning.
  • Supporting and training staff in effective classroom management, conflict resolution, and student engagement strategies.
  • Liaising with parents, staff, and support teams to ensure a consistent approach to student wellbeing.
  • Promoting and contributing to College assemblies, recognition programs, and leadership opportunities
Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Education (QCT registration required).
  • Proven leadership in student wellbeing and behaviour management.
  • Additional qualifications in Psychology or Behaviour Management (desirable).
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents in a complex school environment.
  • A strong commitment to the College's values, philosophy, and Islamic ethos.
