St Rita's College, Clayfield, is a leading independent Catholic secondary school in Brisbane, educating more than 1200 girls from Years 5–12. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Wellbeing Officer to join our College community. This role is integral to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and personally.

This is a term-time only position, meaning you will work during the school term and enjoy school holiday periods off.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

In this role, you will:

  • Promote and support student wellbeing, resilience, positive relationships, and a strong sense of community.
  • Collaborate with Deputy Principals, Guidance Counsellors, the Head of Student Wellbeing, and Heads of House to meet the pastoral needs of students.
  • Provide appropriate referrals for students in accordance with College protocols.
  • Support students and families through follow-up, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Contribute to the delivery of student formation and social justice experiences that reflect the College's Catholic identity.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a caring and proactive professional with a genuine passion for student wellbeing. In particular, you will demonstrate:

  • A Certificate IV in Pastoral Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of student wellbeing and pastoral care practices within a Catholic context.
  • The ability to plan and facilitate engaging formation and social justice programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • The capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
