**About the role**

The Student Learning Advisor works collaboratively with the Student Services and Academic teams in the development and provision of student learning support to the diverse student body. This position is based on campus in Brisbane CBD and will be 3 days a week.

**Key Result Areas**:

- Provide individual counselling to students with regard to academic performance
- Develop, implement and monitor programs, orientation, resources and services such as workshops and presentations to promote the wellbeing of students and to encourage student engagement
- Provide students with program/course advice, academic policies and procedures, program progression, transition to University and other study related matters
- Undertake a range of administrative duties which include maintaining student records and contributing to regular reporting
- Support students who have been identified ‘at risk’ with their study program and provide relevant support
- Assistance with academic writing, language enhancement and assignments and establish student academic support networks
- Refer students to the Student Counsellor and other core professional services as appropriate
- Provide individual or group assistance with assignments and academic and language literacies and provide support for students with disabilities
- Liaise with College/Campus and University staff, as well as professional organisations on issues related to student academic progress, and transition to College/Campus University life
- Maintain awareness of the regulatory environment as it relates to student support and ensure compliance with external and internal policy frameworks.
