**Part-Time Medical Receptionist - Illawarra Family Medical Centre (Wollongong, NSW)**

**Are you an experienced and highly organised Medical Receptionist looking for a flexible, part-time role in a welcoming and supportive environment.**

At Illawarra Family Medical Centre, we're looking for a friendly and professional individual to be the welcoming face of our practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in delivering excellent service and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our practice.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Greeting patients warmly and managing enquiries in person and over the phone
- Scheduling and managing appointments using our practice management system (Best Practice)
- Maintaining financial records, processing patient payments, and processing Medicare claims.
- Keeping the reception area tidy and presentable
- Supporting the medical team with administrative tasks
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and following data protection protocols

**What we're looking for**:

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a customer service role in healthcare
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills, with a warm and professional manner
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using medical software particularly Best Practice and general computer systems
- A caring, empathetic approach with a genuine interest in patient wellbeing
- High attention to detail and discretion when handling sensitive information
- A proactive team player who shows initiative
- Availability to work a mix of early starts (from 7:00am) or later finishes (up to 7:00pm)

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Medical receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
