North Parramatta, Australia Uniting Full time

We’re seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Project Officer to join our Communities team for a 12-month maternity leave coverage contract, starting 1 July 2025.
About the Role
- Full-time 12-month contract (38 hours per week) based in North Parramatta
- Hybrid work model: two days per week working from home
- Attractive remuneration: Base salary + salary packaging benefits up to $18,550 (pay less tax) + 11.5% superannuation

Uniting Communities provides a wide range of social services to children, young people, families, and communities across NSW and ACT. As a member of our Business Development Hub, you’ll support the growth of Uniting as we deliver our ambitious strategic goals through business development, financial diversification, and strategic partnerships.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the team to identify, scope and pursue business development opportunities which generate revenue and positive social outcomes, and align to the organisation’s strategic goals and priorities.
- Gather, analyse, and synthesise data to inform business development strategies and identify emerging trends relevant to funding opportunities.
- Coordinate the implementation of new programs and services, including planning, stakeholder engagement, resource allocation, and monitoring progress against key milestones.
- Manage and support the structured close down (winddown) of services and projects, ensuring all contractual, reporting, and compliance requirements are met, and lessons learned are documented and shared.
- Liaise and connect with teams across the organisation to support the successful delivery of Communities Directorate projects, ensuring effective information flow and collaboration.
- Build and maintain constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders, facilitating regular communication and engagement to support project objectives.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Tertiary degree in business, research, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant field
- Experience supporting new business and growth in a similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills and professional across all levels of the business
- Ability to navigate complexity and influence across diverse stakeholders.
- Respond to tasks and requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage communications effectively using Outlook and Microsoft Office tools
- Motivated, adaptable, and thrive in a dynamic team environment.
