**The Role**
IAG has an exciting opportunity for a Claims Consultant to join the SME and Agri Claims Team in Parramatta. In this role you will manage claims from post lodgement through to completion to ensure claims are processed within expected delivery timeframes to meet customer expectations and to minimise cost to CGU. This role is offered as permanent full-time and is a fantastic foot in the door for a career within Insurance.
Please note: To Work from Home, you will need: high speed internet connection and a private home office set up.
**Start Date**: ASAP. Monday to Friday, 11.30-8pm (Covering WA hours) but based in Parramatta. Full Time Permanent role.
**Training**: Full-time on-site training will begin from the start date and will run through for 4 weeks.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage end-to-end claims within designated authority limits and in accordance with Short Tail Claims triaging principles to meet customer expectations and service level targets.
- Liaise with all relevant parties to provide regular updates on the progress of claims and leverage the expertise of specialist claims teams and other key stakeholders.
- Support the Intermediated Claims process by performing coverage evaluations, basic investigatory tasks and by gathering and documenting relevant information within the Claims Centre system as required
- Provide assistance to team members and identify opportunities for process improvement to support the achievement of team and organisational goals and objectives
**Skills & Experience**
- Previous work experience in a customer facing, service-oriented role
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Prior exposure to insurance claims handling systems, processes and procedures
- A passion for customer service and an ability to work autonomously in a work from home environment
