The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Outpatient Data Specialist to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead, develop and coordinate data quality management initiatives
- Provide support to users of clinical information systems
- Work in partnership with Health Information team to support and tailor training and education sessions for administrative and clinical staff
- Actively participate and lead data quality improvement activities throughout Gold Coast Health

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- While not mandatory, a relevant health services or training qualification would be well regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $102 492 - $111 516 per annum

About Us
The Strategy, Transformation & Major Capital division has been established to define, design, enhance delivery and sustainability of our most significant service improvement, digital and transformation opportunities.
Our high-level responsibilities for the division are for service improvement, digital transformation, digital operations, digital assets, digital partnerships, portfolio/program/project management, clinical coding, service disruption, and service redesign.
As a division, we are responsible for the delivery of the transformation agenda, sustainability plan, digital transformation roadmap; and regularly report to the Board and Executive against progress of these agendas.
We also have a key role to play in research and innovation, in that our responsibilities will include developing internal understanding of key challenges and combining internal and external evidence to achieve sustainable service and organisation improvement.
