Product Specialist

As the Dometic Marine portfolio expands across the APAC region, we're looking for a capable and driven Product Specialist to support the delivery and performance of our marine product range. This is a hands-on role that blends commercial insight, data analysis, and product lifecycle support.

About the position

Reporting to the APAC Marine Product Manager, you'll work across pricing, data management, and product performance — helping ensure our products are well-positioned and effectively supported in the market. You'll contribute to key product activities such as preparing for launches, managing product data, and providing internal insights that support decision-making across the business.

It's a varied role suited to someone who enjoys structured analysis, cross-functional problem solving, and translating technical information into business outcomes. One day you might be reviewing pricing models or updating ERP systems, and the next, analysing product trends, supporting range reviews, or coordinating with teams across sales, engineering, service, and supply chain.

This role would suit someone with experience working across product processes, pricing management, technical documentation, data analysis, or systems implementation — particularly if you've had exposure to both business operations and technical environments. Marine industry knowledge is not essential, but an interest in outdoor, marine, or recreational products will help you connect with the space and our customers.

As your product understanding develops, there will be opportunities to engage in product applications support and hands-on technical support in the field, working alongside installers, service agents, or directly with customers on marine systems.

Your main responsibilities:

Internal Business & Commercial Support

• Analyse pricing structures, cost inputs, and margin performance across marine products
• Maintain and manage internal price lists, preparing analysis to support pricing decisions
• Support inventory planning and forecasting by identifying trends, slow movers, and high-risk SKUs
• Collaborate with supply chain and finance teams to support stock optimisation and product lifecycle decisions
• Provide commercial insights through reporting on product line performance, sales trends, and regional demand

Data Management & System Support

• Maintain accurate product data in internal systems (SAP, Excel/Power BI, PIM systems)
• Assist with creation and updating of product documentation and internal tools
• Coordinate product data inputs for catalogues, digital assets, and localised collateral

Product Management Support

• Support the APAC Product Manager in product introductions, lifecycle reviews, and range planning
• Gather customer feedback, competitive insights, and market data to support roadmap decisions
• Contribute to internal communications and alignment between product, sales, marketing, and service teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a reliable point of contact for internal product-related queries across ANZ and broader APAC
• Assist in preparing training materials, technical overviews, and market documentation
• Participate in occasional field visits, testing, and hands-on product familiarisation

To be successful in the role, you will have experience within engineering and product management as well as the following qualifications and experiences:

• Hands-on experience working with product data, pricing structures, inventory performance, or commercial reporting
• Exposure to technical products or systems, with the ability to interpret product specifications or technical information
• Experience supporting cross-functional projects or collaborating across commercial, engineering, or supply chain teams
• Confident working with data tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms for reporting and analysis
• Engineering knowledge (mechanical, electrical, systems, or software) is a strong plus — especially where combined with product or commercial understanding
• Relevant education in business, commerce, engineering, or data/information systems is desirable
• Familiarity with ERP, PIM, or CRM systems is advantageous
• Marine industry experience is not required — but an interest in boating, outdoors, or technical gear is a benefit
