We welcome events of all shapes and sizes, from board meetings and small celebrations to conventions, gala dinners, exhibitions, and concerts. Our doors are open for events and moments that connect us - in person, virtual or hybrid, and everything in between.

Our city is our inspiration, located in the vibrant South Wharf precinct, just a stroll along the Yarra River. Melbourne is on show at MCEC - in the architecture and design, food and hospitality, location, and views.

**About the role**

We are currently seeking experienced Set Ups Team Leaders who have flexible availability for morning and evening work**.** As one of our Team Leaders, you'll be planning, coordinating, and supervising your team to deliver room setups for all events. You'll play a key role in ensuring the Set Ups team is providing the highest level of service to our customers, whilst ensuring the team coordinates the setup of events in accordance with event orders, amendments, and floor plans.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of room sets
- Planning the day's task list and the days ahead
- Effectively briefing of your crew at the commencement of shifts
- Leading your crew including delegating tasks and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on time
- Preparing and clearing rooms for all events including setting up tables, chairs, linen, place settings and dance floors etc.
- Maintaining furniture storage and storerooms
- Ensuring crew are adhering to all safety requirements and OH&S procedures

**About You**

You will have previous experience working in a large venue and have previous people management experience in a similar capacity**.**

You will need to be:

- Physically fit - you'll be walking quite a bit during your shift and lifting/moving equipment and furniture
- Have flexible availability across 7 days
- Flexible workings hours including weekends and nights
- Eligibility to work in Australia with no restrictions (if on Visa, we will require evidence of your work eligibility)
