**The role**:
To assist customers with the technical planning and administration of their events, ensuring that all of their requirements are met, and the technology services provided complies with MCEC service standards and exceeds expectations.

To interpret the technology requirements for events and oversee the sale of appropriate technology services to customers, working to achieve revenue targets for the Technology Services Division.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Take a solutions-based approach with each customer to assist in the development and creation of their event
- To partner with customers and their contractors (where applicable) with technology planning and the administration of their events to ensure that all their requirements are met
- To ensure that all documentation sent to the customer is accurate and of a high standard or presentation
- To liaise with customers by telephone, in meetings and during their events
- To liaise closely with customers to ensure that their needs are consistently met in a timely and well-coordinated manner
- Prepare quotations, floor plans, schematics, and other support information as required in a timely manner
- Liaise with relevant MCEC departments to ensure that their needs are consistently met in a timely and well-coordinated manner
- Brief the allocated Technical Delivery Managers for each event
- Prepare event orders, floor plans and other written information in detail as required for each allocated event
- To ensure that all documentation prepared for operations departments is accurate and follows MCEC guidelines
- Maintain an intimate understanding of the Technology Services Department, its offerings, and objectives
- Provide customers with an experience that meets or exceeds their expectationsby providing thorough plans and documentation
- To prepare event orders, floor plans and other written information in detail as required for each allocated event
- Present value-adds to clients as appropriate
- Ensure forecasting for Technology Services is kept up to date, managed and maintained on a fortnightly basis in-line with departmental forecasting timelines

**Qualifications, knowledge & experience**

**Essential**:

- Experience in technical production planning and delivery in an event context
- A successful track record in interpreting and delivering client expectations and needs
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively engage customers
- Must have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Work efficiently and remain composed in pressure situations
- Ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple activities
- An ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be customer service focused and diplomatic
- Flexible analytical skills in evaluating event success and client feedback
- Must be well presented, approachable and able to represent MCEC within industry
- Soundconceptual and analytical skills

**Desirable**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Extensive experience in corporate productions
- Experience with CAD programs to create floor plans
- Experience with Ungerboeck/EBMS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
