
Production & Product Development Specialist

Reporting into the Production Manager this role will be responsible for managing the full cycle of production of product, ensuring this is achieved on time and within budget.
This role will work closely with the design and buying team and be integral to the ready to wear product executing in line with the design vision as well as the businesses commercial needs through effective production and product development management.

**Key responsibilities include**:
- Create seasonal tracker and track each seasonal collection via in house tracking sheets maintaining current status at all times;
- Obtain and negotiate costings for all sourced materials for critical path requirements in line with agreed quality outcomes at development stage (to avoid redevelopment or de-engineering late in the development process)
- Source and develop fabrication, trims and garments based on design and buying brief including liaison with factories and cost negotiation
- Place orders for all fabric, trims and samples ensuring suppliers have all raw materials as required for sample making
- Confirm sampling capacity with each supplier
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of samples into the showroom and final bulk production in store
- Monitor the fitting progress and quality of sms and pps samples
- Monitor the approval of bulk fabric and accessories of all categories and styles
- Gain approval of relevant invoices

**You will have**:
- 5 + years’ experience in production and product development for premium fashion retail
- Hold a valid driver’s license and able to visit 3rd party warehouse when required
- Qualification in têxtile or merchandise
- You’re customer centric - everything you do is with our customer in mind
- You are organised & efficient, with a strong focus on achieving results
- You are creative, innovative & you think differently in dealing with both opportunities and issues
- You’re a strong, clear & concise communicator
- Speaking Mandarin or Cantonese is highly advantageous as you will be working closely with overseas suppliers
