**Your new role**:
The **Member and Community Engagement Coordinator** will implement membership programs and initiatives to support the important works of Conferences in the community. Your work will involve close coordination with the Regional Council and Council Presidents; as well as engagement with local organisations and people in the community. If you have great communication and community engagement skills and are looking for a rewarding role in a purpose-led organisation, then this is a perfect opportunity for you.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Engage with local organisations in order to identify where Vinnies can assist vulnerable people in the community
- Liaise with Regional Council and Council Presidents in relation to the implementation of programs and initiatives
- Support and participate in events (e.g. Sleepout, Anti-Poverty week etc) aimed at increasing community awareness and involvement in the Society's good works
- Promote and participate in the implementation of the Society's social justice and advocacy initiatives
- Implement programs and initiatives for the attraction, onboarding and retention of Conference members
- Facilitate forums and events designed to bring Conferences and Members together to share ideas, knowledge and learning
- Utilise relevant information, data and systems to generate and deliver reports on outcomes of programs and initiatives.
**To be successful in this role, y**o**u will need**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification/s in human resources, human services or related area
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing engagement strategies for member-based organisations.
- Demonstrated experience implementing community engagement strategies for large organisations in metropolitan and regional areas.
- Demonstrated ability to review and analyse data and analytics to enable effective reporting on membership programs.
- Sound stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills across a range of mediums.
