**About the role**:
Who said aged care jobs are just for carers. There are many varied office roles within the operations of a community care business. With continued growth we now have an opening for a Service Coordinator. The main function of this role is problem solving, with a positive customer service approach, along with using a rostering software tool to pair our valued clients with a well-matched carer.
We currently have two openings, one on a fixed term for 18-20 months and the other is permanent. Both positions are full time on a roster that covers hours between 7.30am and 5pm.
You would be working as part of a team and providing excellent support to our Care Service Coordinators and our CAREGiver team. (This role will also cover on call on some weekday nights and weekends on a rostered basis).
If you have previous experience in scheduling or are currently working in aged care and looking for your next step, with good administration skills and enjoy tackling problems to ensure all the puzzle pieces fit, then we would love to hear from you.
As Service Coordinator you will:
- Coordinate your own allocated regional area whilst working within a Service Coordinator team.
- Allocate client services and CAREGiver schedules to ensure clients receive their preferred service time and day
- Manage and action daily incoming change requests of client services accordingly
- Provide high level of customer services to clients and CAREGiver’s via multiple communication channels
- Develop close relationships with clients and their families
- Work closely with Care Coordinators and Care Advisors regarding new clients and current client service needs
- Liaise with our CAREGiver’s, supporting with roster and service information, providing consistency with clients by matching CAREGiver’s to individual clients.
- Ensure shifts are covered and vacant shifts to due CAREGiver unavailability are filled as soon as possible
**Qualifications & experience (Selection Criteria)**
- Experience in scheduling (for the care industry preferred) or a good understanding of what a scheduler does.
- Previous knowledge of the aged care industry would be advantageous.
- High-level administration skills with the ability to work across multiple platforms and with accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace
- Be Self driven and proactive but also able to work closely and as part of a team.
- Good, clear telephone voice and excellent customer service skills
