**About the role**:
Explosive Ordnance Services (EOs) is part of Vehicles and Tactical Systems Country Business Unit. EOS operates 17+ depots around Australia to provide a storage, distribution and maintenance service for Explosive Ordnance used by the Australian Defence Force.

As a Disposal Capability Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting disposal capabilities and activities across our EO network. Your responsibilities will include coordinating maintenance, testing, upgrades, purchases, subcontractors, and compliance work for all disposal capabilities at EO depots. You will collaborate with the Disposals Manager in planning, administration, and coordination of disposal projects. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise, research, and analysis to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient disposal methods.

Join our team and contribute to the enhancement of disposal capabilities, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate maintenance, testing, upgrades, and compliance for all disposal capabilities
- Manage subcontractors and stock inventory related to disposal capabilities
- Continuously research and implement improvements to disposal capabilities to ensure competitiveness, compliance, safety, and efficiency
- Assist the Disposals Manager in researching technical information for quotes and disposal projects
- Coordinate multiple disposal activities, including documentation, safety analysis, travel arrangements, and meetings
- Engage with EO depots for coordination, meetings, and preparation of disposal activities
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with disposal activities.
- Ensure compliance with Defence controls, legislative requirements, and internal procedures.

**How About You?**
- Relevant qualifications and experience in disposal of dangerous goods
- Strong technical expertise and ability to research and analyse
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of risk management and system safety analysis
- Familiarity with Defence policies and procedures
- Existing NV1 clearance holders or above would be highly advantageous
