**The Role**
An opportunity exists to join a dynamic and vibrant Defence project team for an EL1 Product Manager, overseeing a technologically advanced suite of Maritime Explosive Weapons. This portfolio requires a self-starting team player with a delivery mindset and innovative approach to service delivery and asset management.

You will possess effective management, co-ordination of small teams to deliver capability to the Royal Australian Navy as part of Maritime Explosive Ordnance Systems Program Office (MEOPSO). Situated within the Executive team, you will be solutions focused and be confident in providing innovative and alternative solutions, thinking laterally and communicating ideas. In this role, you will undertake budget management and provide high level finance, operational and business management advice.

You will consolidate and analyse data and information, coordinate and assist in the preparation of written submissions, briefs, reports, minutes and other correspondence to support the MEOSPO. We currently have vacancies in Orchard Hills, NSW and we will establish a merit pool for future vacancies.

MEOSPO is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch within Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Delivery Division which is part of GWEO Group. Our team is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and corporate enabling services).

We are located in Canberra, Penrith, Ipswich, RAAF Amberley and Rockingham (HMAS Stirling) and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.

This position will require you to establish, implement, monitor and review effective Project, Program and Asset Management practices and processes; build effective relationships and negotiate outcomes and prepare and analyse reports and proposals, including business cases, technical reports, strategic and business plans, and formulate recommendations.
