The purpose of this role is to be responsible for providing specialist injury management, recovery and return to work and rehabilitation expertise across long term complex claims, including personalised face-to-face assistance to workers, as part of a collaborative strategic approach.

Working closely with the Recovering Independence claims team, this position will maintain a particular focus on ensuring innovative RTW & Recovery strategies for workers with long term, complex injuries are developed and supported which in turn, will enable us to provide tailored, person centric claims management for our injured workers.

This is a **9 Month Contract,** based in the **Melbourne CBD Office**, with flexibility to work from home.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Work collaboratively with Case Managers to prepare and implement strategies regularly within timeframes to achieve the optimum outcome and minimisation of claim costs.
- Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions.
- Provide support to Case Managers and Specialist Staff in developing RTW & Recovery strategies for workers with long term claims, along with staff capability through feedback and coaching.
- Drive the delivery of person-centred claims management strategies with a focus on recovery outcomes
- Attend team/department huddles and forums to provide any feedback, training and updates on RTW strategy learnings.
- Attend peer review and relevant claims forums as required.
- Effectively communicate performance updates to leaders within the business.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Extensive experience in the Victorian Managed Fund Workers Compensation industry
- Extensive experience and understanding of the Victorian Workers compensation legislation
- Thorough understanding of WorkSafe’s claims systems, business rules, procedures and data integrity requirements
- Expert claims management knowledge
- Ability to build relationships and engage staff at all levels
- Proven ability to diagnose problems, devise and implement solutions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
