**About the Role**

The Disaster Recovery Lead will oversee the disaster recovery program, ensuring the development, review, and testing of disaster recovery plans and associated procedures. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the department's technology resilience capability, ensuring recovery expectations are met, and leading the validation of recovery plans across both internal data centers and contracted cloud platforms. You will work closely with operational and technical teams to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster, and will also provide advisory support for IT projects and vendor management.

**Attributes**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrate extensive experience in design, governance and compliance of disaster recovery frameworks and capabilities.
- Demonstrate experience in drafting, managing and coordinating technical processes as well as reviewing operational policies and procedures that support disaster recovery.
- Demonstrate experience in the ability to liaise with internal customers, external partners (vendors), project teams and senior leaders across the organisation to align with and support the implementation of DR expectations
- Excellent oranisational skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification in IT DR and/or BCP, CISSP, CISM
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Project Management, Risk Management or related field

**Desirable**Qualifications and Experience**
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and business continuity in a large, complex environment.
- Knowledge of recovery testing and exercises.
- Relevant qualifications in IT, business continuity, or related fields.
