Want your chance to make a mark on a world-class, record-breaking event? We are hiring for a Event Operations Lead to join our team to deliver the Australian Open 2026. This is a full-time fixed-term contract from September 2025 to February 2026.

About the role

The Event Operations Lead, Patron Operations plays a key role in delivering a world-class experience at the Australian Open, managing the Customer Experience (CX) team, one of the largest event workforces at the AO.

In this role you will:

- Lead the planning and delivery of Patron Operations, aligning services with accessibility and crowd management plans
- Manage the Customer Experience (CX) team, including recruitment, onboarding, training and event-time leadership
- Coordinate operational comms, staffing, and act as an escalation point during the tournament
- Design and deliver CX team training and leadership development programs
- Track performance, monitor KPIs and budgets, and contribute to post-event reporting

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

- Experience managing large customer-facing teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong project skills, including budgeting, reporting and use of MS Office tools
- Confident written and verbal communication, with the ability to motivate teams
- A calm, solution-focused approach under pressure
- A collaborative and professional style, with initiative and pride in delivery
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
