Looking for a Contracts Management specialist

**Your new company**

Hays are looking for a Contracts Manager.

This is a 6-month temporary contract with the option of extension.

**Your new role**

As a Temporary Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the defects liability phase of projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that defects identified during the handover process are promptly addressed and resolved. You’ll collaborate closely with contractors, project managers, and other team members to achieve successful project closure.

**Responsibilities**:

- Defect Resolution: Work through the defects list for each project, verifying that defects are corrected on-site.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract requirements related to defects and quality.
- On-Site Inspections: Regularly visit project sites to assess completed work and identify any outstanding defects.
- Contractor Coordination: Liaise with contractors responsible for building works to action defect corrections.
- Reporting: Record defects accurately and report progress to project managers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our project management team to close out projects effectively.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Background: Experience in building contract management, architecture contract management, or engineering contract management at a junior level.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the construction industry, including managing construction sites and working with engineers.
- Project Management: Basic understanding of project management principles.
- Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Systems.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team of 4 people.
- Reporting Structure: You’ll report directly to the project managers overseeing project closure.
