**The Position**

We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team based in Perth, WA as part of UGL’s expanding and successful Communications/Tech Systems team which covers telecommunications and technology projects.

You will bring commercial leadership and contractual expertise to support Communications and Technology based projects in Western Australia. The key focus of the role is to manage all aspects of upstream and downstream contracts administration through project delivery and eventually contracts close out.

**Day to day commercial support you will provide will include**:

- Participate in commercial handovers for successfully awarded contracts
- Support Project Managers to deliver post contract administration to ensure compliance with upstream contract obligations
- Support identification, development and negotiation of upstream variations and progress claims. Prepare variation, extension of time and other claim documentation.
- Ensure effective contract administration, in conjunction with operations personnel and contract administrators.
- Participate in cost to complete reviews and assist the Project Manager with forecasting requirements in line with monthly reporting
- Working with key project and management staff to provide guidance and advice on upstream and downstream contracts and commercial matters that arise
- Ensure contract requirements are adhered to and the interests of UGL are protected.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

**What you will bring**:

- Ability to interpret and advise on commercial risk management strategies as they arise in relation to upstream and downstream contracts
- Have excellent communication skills including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- A high level of integrity and interpersonal skills that allow you to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
- You will hold a Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying with an ability to achieve commercial outcomes while managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Proven experience in upstream contract management within infrastructure projects
