Job Description Summary

Service Stream currently has an exciting opportunity for an Automation Specialist to join a well-established and expanding national Automation Team.
About the Role

We are looking for a well-rounded highly motivated individual who wants to be part of our journey into an industry leading Automation Team.

As an Automation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering data driven solutions to our business. Working closely with project stakeholders, your primary focus will be contributing to the overall efficiency of our projects by delivering and maintaining automated data solutions across a variety of contracts and divisions within ServiceStream.

The office location for this role is flexible (hybrid), with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

- Working with our Project Teams to scope, deliver and maintain automated processes across a variety of platforms
- 2. Actively managing and monitoring existing solutions
- 3. Becoming a key point of contact for the GBIS Automation Team for our project SMEs
- 4. Working with the remainder of the Automation Team to assist with development and day-to-day activities
- 5. Contribute to business process improvement through maintaining industry best practices
- 6. Coach and mentor our junior colleagues, ensuring a collaborative working relationship with the team
- 7. Identify opportunities for automation throughout the business and internally, develop business cases to support these

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A tertiary qualification in science, maths, engineering or technology
- Working knowledge with ETL Processes (Safe FME Workbench, Alteryx, PowerAutomate, LogicApps, etc.)
- Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or alike)
- Strong technical and professional communication skills, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills

It will be beneficial to have some exposure to:

- Experience in CI/CD tools like Jira, Git
- Experience with database administration, system integrations and data analytics
- A background in programming languages (Python, R, etc.)
- Experience with project management information systems and their use in construction and maintenance projects (Sitetracker or IFS would be highly regarded)
