A fantastic opportunity is currently available for a Marketing Specialist who has PR expertise to join an iconic Australian national retailer

**The Role**:
Reporting into the Head of Marketing, you will play a hands on role executing PR brand activation campaigns, events and new product launches, whilst managing the PR agency. This role is diverse and you will have the opportunity manage a range of events from small to large scale, including pre-planning, budget management and event reporting. You will also play a key role in supporting the wider marketing team across integrated strategic marketing

communication and public relations initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage end to end PR brand activations, product launches and events within the brand
- Partner with the PR agency and drive forward PR strategies / initiates
- Event management
- manage a variety of small, medium and large-scale events from conception to execution to reconciliation, including all planning elements of an event (pre-event planning, management of budget, execution onsite including management of marketing collateral, presentation of campaign pre and post)
- Event Reporting, including managing budgets, staying within strict parameters, and quantitative analysis of event effectiveness
- Marketing activities to build up hype surrounding events: traditional and experiential marketing, as well as a strong emphasis on digital (working in collaboration with the Social Media team)
- Developing and nurturing relationships with corporate supplier partners for supplier funded event.
- Develop and implement an annual calendar of strategically-aligned marketing communications, public relations campaigns and events.
- Develop strategically aligned engaging content for external and internal organisational use, including but not limited to promotional printed materials, video footage, photography and audio assets.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for the Brand and influencers or news outlets

**Key Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in PR, Communications &/or Journalism
- Experience working in PR / Retail Comms
- Excellent writing skills including the ability to write newsworthy, creative and unique content
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyse data effectively to uncover interesting story ideas for campaigns and products
- Seeking an entrepreneurial and agile mindset - you'll thrive in a fast paced environment and have ambition to grow
- Highly organised and pro-active with an astute eye for detail
- Experience in either PR Agency or a current retailer within a PR role would be highly desirable.
