Configuration and Technical Officer |Kings Park, NSW or Adelaide, SA

**Your New Opportunity**

As a result of the Defence team's recent success in securing contracts with the Commonwealth, we have a new opportunity to participate in the successful delivery of these programs across the business.

Located at either our Adelaide Branch or in our Kings Park (NSW) Department you will be responsible to develop, implement and administer configuration management for current Defence (Marine and Land) contracts and future projects for Penske Australia. This will include the build configurations down to lowest repairable unit for platform fitted equipment.

A key part of your role will be to coordinate resolution of technical matters for current Defence contracts.

**About you**
- Qualifications in Configuration Management are desirable, or equivalent relevant skills and experience (5 years or more).
- Demonstrated customer focus with the proven capacity to coordinate, lead and manage expectations through to resolution.
- Well-developed skills in managing long-term change.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of Defence requirements (e.g. **ASDEFCON **contracting templates) in relation to Configuration Management and Technical regulations.
- Experience in Windchill, MS Word and MS Excel an advantage
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work **collaboratively**, but equally as comfortable working **autonomously** using your **initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision-making skills**.
- Possess strong **organisational skills** and have the ability to carry out your responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
- Able to achieve and maintain Defence Security Clearance (to Baseline or above as the case may be). This requires the applicant to be an Australian Citizen.
