A leading government agency is seeking an experienced Digitisation Technical Support Officer to provide technical support and operational expertise within a large-scale digitisation environment.

In this role, you will undertake and support complex digitisation activities to produce high-quality digital files from a wide range of physical and digital formats. You will also contribute to the development and optimisation of policies, procedures, and technical workflows, ensuring the organisation delivers efficient, high-quality outcomes for its clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for large-scale, high-speed Kodak (or similar) scanning systems and associated digitisation workflows.
  • Perform complex digitisation tasks to produce accurate, high-quality digital images and metadata.
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot records management systems (e.g., RS-SQL O'Neil Software or similar).
  • Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of digitisation systems and software tools.
  • Contribute to process improvement by documenting and refining digitisation procedures, policies, and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with digitisation staff and IT teams to ensure seamless operation of equipment and systems.
  • Participate in rostered and after-hours support as required to meet operational demands.
