**About the Role**:
The Technical Officer is responsible for the collection and entry of water data into information systems and for assisting with the planning, procurement, maintenance, and installation of water monitoring platforms. There will be a significant commitment to field data collection activities by the incumbent. These activities contribute towards vital information to help the South Australian Government manage potential impacts on its water resources. The Technical Officer will undertake complex data analysis and prepare reports addressing quantity, quality, and location for each dataset. A key component of the role includes responsibility for assisting with the development of plans and reports; contributing to all project outcomes as directed.

**Contract**: Temporary Backfill contract for up to 12 months

**Essential Qualifications**: A qualification in the engineering, science or geosciences disciplines or equivalent

**Special Conditions**:

- May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties
- Some intrastate travel requiring overnight absence may be required
- **Remuneration**: TGO2 ($75,240 min - $79,880 max) p.a.
