Our client, in the federal government sector seeks an **Onboarding Team Lead** to be based in their office-based **west of the Canberra CBD.**
- **Fixed term contract from 1 March 2025 to 17 October 2025**:

- **Salary band: $91,140 - $102,152 (increase to $94,603 - $106,034 from 13 March 2025)**:

Are you an experienced APS 6 HR professional ready to lead an Onboarding team in a dynamic, high-stakes environment? Join our client's People Branch as an Onboarding Team Lead and help shape the recruitment and onboarding processes for their commercial department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Provide expert advice** on complex onboarding and recruitment matters, ensuring compliance.
- **Develop and maintain** onboarding programs, training, and templates for internal use.
- **Manage relationships** with internal and external stakeholders to achieve agency goals.
- **Supervise and mentor** a team, ensuring high-quality outputs and team development.
- **Contribute to election preparation** activities as per the election readiness framework.
- **Deliver strategic input** into the agency's long-term recruitment and service planning.

**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Proven experience in **onboarding and recruitment** activities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Excellent **communication and stakeholder management** skills, particularly across a geographically dispersed network.
- Ability to analyse and drive **business improvement strategies**.
- Experience in **managing teams** and fostering career development.
- High integrity and the ability to deliver results within legislative and policy frameworks.

**Desirable**:

- Relevant **Human Resources qualifications** or experience.
- Knowledge of **Public Service Act 1999 (Cth)**

**Additional Requirements**:

- **Security Clearance** (Baseline)
- **Australian citizenship** and **political neutrality**.
