Technical Services Manager

A unique position has arisen with a high profile national supplier of product identification and traceability solutions to industry throughout Australia. As the Head of Technical Services you will have the responsibility to manage and mentor a team of Field Service Technicians, whilst at the same time becoming the face of the department in the eyes of the client and the companies own sales team. The prime objective of the role is toward achieving total client satisfaction with the value and effectiveness of the services your team is providing. As a key member of the management team, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: - Operational and financial management of the Technical Services team, including the Project Management and Technical Call Centre departments. - Making client contacts at a senior level to identify overall levels of satisfaction and opportunities for improvement. - Manage, mentor and train your team to ensure all technical proficiencies and day to day targets are met. - Oversee all national technical projects to ensure all projects are delivered "to specification, on time, and within budget". - Work collaboratively with the Sales department and other Managers within the business to ensure quality and product knowledge is at the highest level. - Participate in the development and recruitment of new team members. - As this is a national responsibility you will be required to travel regularly to both local and interstate locations. - Your are experienced in a similar role at a senior level. - You are an experienced leader of people with the ability to influence and drive results. - You possess an understanding of the technical and networking aspects of industrial software and mechatronic equipment. - An ability to demonstrate positive leadership through your ability to manage and mentor your team towards achieving higher objectives. - A willingness to proactively engage with the client to establish empathy with their business needs and raise the visual profile of your team. - You have an ability to anticipate and identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement within your department. - You are a problem solver who can seize on an opportunity and develop action strategies that provide results. - You are a competent business manager who understands that a high level of customer and client satisfaction breeds opportunities for new business and increased profitability of your department. **_Please quote job#10591 in all communications and correspondence_
