Technical Manager

We are currently seeking the expertise of a technical specialist to provide support to our South Brisbane based Concrete, Quarry and Precast businesses. You will design materials to meet applicable standards, client and project specifications, and the company Quality Assurance system. You will monitor the performance of company produced materials and recommend opportunities to improve service, product quality and reduce production costs.

You will be located at Slacks Creek, with visits to the Rocklea laboratory as required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide input into the design of materials produced to support compliance against standards and project and client specifications
  • Ensure concrete and constituent materials are maintained to the required levels specified by the relevant Australian Standards and all relevant specifying parties
  • Provide Technical support with client engagement as requested during tendering processes, project delivery and in response to customer complaints
  • Monitor production employee's adherence to quality procedures, providing guidance and direction as required
  • Address customer issues ensuring a swift resolution, and to the satisfaction of all parties, appropriately documented and communicated

What you'll bring

  • Experience in concrete placement, testing, production, and/or mix design
  • Proven track record in delivering quality outcomes for clients to exact specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Dedication to safety, integrity, environment and quality
  • A manual car licence is essential due to the vehicle you will use to conduct visits to plants and customer sites
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are preferred but not essential
