Head of Operational Governance and Compliance

**About the Role**
Join the BOQ Group Technology Team as we embark an exciting digital transformation to make BOQ the digital bank of the future. We have recently announced our partnership with Microsoft and are running a large tech transformation involving major cloud projects.

In this senior leadership role, you will be accountable for the performance of BOQ’s key technology suppliers and the related compliance and continuity obligations. This includes overseeing a consistent supplier governance framework; meeting regularly with suppliers, group technology stakeholders, procurement, and legal staff, on issues such as supplier performance, service levels, ongoing work requirements, accuracy and efficiency of billing, and service continuity.

Your success in the role will result in strong partnerships with our suppliers, driving excellent service, no surprises with costs, comprehensive budget forecasting, and timely resolution of issues. In addition, our compliance and risk obligations will be comprehensively managed.

**About you**
- **Account/Relationship Management**:

- 8+ years of experience in strategic relationship management roles within tech and similar industry.
- **Technology outsourcing experience **- with large suppliers similar to DXC/Microsoft including procurement/selection and contractual negotiations.
- **Project/Portfolio experience**:

- experience managing and delivering committed portfolio of projects/programs within agreed constraints, including managing resources and risks and issues.
- **Qualifications** - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience

Leadership management skills:

- **Program & Project Management** - Lead, coordinate, communicate and integrate a programs and projects within the portfolio and take accountability for their overall success
- **People management** - Enables, motivates, and develops a committed and high performing workforce by setting clear expectations, tracking progress, ensuring feedback, and addressing performance problems. Providing leadership and guidance to testing specialists.
- **Collaboration and partnership** - Participates in and promotes cooperative working relationships across the organization and with third parties, including stakeholder management, knowledge sharing and partnership
- **Continuous Improvement** - Experience developing functional policies and processes to develop and implement a reduction in errors, improvements in efficiency and increasing effectiveness.
- **Stakeholder management**:

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the senior management level across functional groups and business units. Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, using influence and preventing damage to the relationship.
